Outdoor environmental education has numerous benefits for children and is required in many elementary school curricula. However, budget restraints prevent students and Scouts from experiencing the joy and satisfaction of planting and caring for trees. The Kids4Trees program plants tens of thousands of tree and has created thousands of young stewards of the forest and informs these future voters of the importance of preserving and restoring our forests and their role in combating climate change by absorption of CO2 and production of oxygen, protecting wildlife, understanding the essence of soil and water, learning to recycle and not to litter, planting trees and native grasses, and appreciating the environment in general.. . Your gift of $1 or more will help us to continue to instruct 6-12 year old elementary school students (most often from low income and minority populations) to plant and care for trees and native grasses, in addition to outdoor environmental education (general knowledge and appreciation of trees, soil and water, wildlife, climate change, recycling/litter, interdependence), plant thousands of tree saplings, provide school bus transportation to forests, provide environmental children’s singers, portable toilets, planting soil/tools, and more. Programs are organized in forests, state parks and schools. Kids4Trees also conducts Girls and Boy Scout programs. Your contribution can be securely made via PayPal.
